Print out Test Plan, Test Results, Test Suites, Test Cases, Test Configurations, and Test Settings from Microsoft Test Manager 2010 using Test Scribe

Test Scribe is only available for download at the Visual Studio Gallery.  After installing Test Scribe, you will see a Tools menu available within Microsoft Test Manager.  This will allow you to print your Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases, Test Configurations and Test Results.
  1. Download Test Scribe here http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/e79e4a0f-f670-47c2-9b8a-3b6f664bf4ae if this link does not work, search for ”Test Scribe for Visual Studio Ultimate 2010 and Test Professional 2010″
  2. Click Run, Click Run
  3. Click Install Microsoft OpenXML SDK 2.0
  4. Click Next
  5. Agree to License
  6. Click Next
  7. Click Close on successfully installation of Test Scribe
  8. Open Microsoft Test Manager
  9. Click on the Testing Center dropdown
  10. Select Tools from the dropdown
  11. Click on Test Plan Summary
  12. Select/Highlight a Test Plan
  13. Click on the Generate Button
  14. The Test Plan document will display the following Test Plan details, Test Suite details, Test Case details, and Test Configuration details
  15. Click on Test Run Summary
  16. Select/Highlight a Test Plan
  17. Click on the Generate Button

    Thanks a lot for this tutorial, it's been a big help. I have a question though. Are you able to generate a test report showing the detailed passing/failing steps of the test cases? I seem to only be able to generate a basic overall test run summary document. Can you email me at seveswim@yahoo.com? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
